Compound taffeta weave. Thick blue and green wefts and black warps, used separately in certain areas to create self-figured pattern of serpentine floral vines and fine, feather-like ribbons. At intervals in the course of the ribbons are knotted miniature bouquets, brocaded with polychrome silks. Narrow, flat selvedges with white strip along outer edge.
