Satin lamé damassé, printed. Warp: white silk. Weft: white silk,silver wrapped around a white silk core. The design is in the style of the artist Bénédictus. Silver metallic weft threads create a chinoiserie landscape with mountains, pagodas and flowers. The original white silk satin has been printed with a pattern of large orange, green, yellow and black abstract chrysanthemums. Condition: good; one small slit in the center left side, and a 3” slit with thread loss in the lower center section.
