DescriptionBlack lacquer, two drawer, slightly bombe. Fully decorated with prominent flowers, sides with floral work encasing deer and grotesque animal. Pierce bronze dore shoulder appliques, small drawer pulls and sabots. Angular legs, escutcheon front apron, marble top. (The bombe front is decorated with Japanese lacquer in tones of red and gold with flowers, leaves, bird with a butterfly. Similar decorations employing similar motifs along sides. The decoration was with little doubt applied by a western hand.)
