DescriptionLaver Kirman pictorial carpet. Pile woven - senna knot. Field: central figure of bearded man with high brown hat, holding saber, kneeling on throne - like chaise. To his right are five crowned men standing with one hand each on sabers. To his left three men wearing turbans and resting on staffs. Background: pillars, curtains, and Arabic script. Major border: hunters on horseback chasing animals. Very good condition. Colors: blue, ivory, brown, with details in gray, black, pink. Cotton warp and weft; wool pile.
