DescriptionPictorial hanging. Scene: A group of figures in Turkic costume around a tree. The central figures hold aloft a flag bearing red, green, and white horizontal bands and a cross. A churchman and two other people to the left; a group of armed men to the right; all raisinf their arms in a jubilant motion. A Cyrilic inscription and the date 1815 at the bottom edge. Leafy vines act as borderes on either side. Black velvet gound embroidered with polychrome wool yarns. Good condition.
