DescriptionGround: dark blue satin. Design: conventional floral forms with Arabic letters, birds, and animals woven with gold thread (gilded silver wound on neutral yellow silk), neutral orange, and a little cream white silk. Very much worn and patched.
ProvenanceProbably acquired in Spain by Adolfo Loewi, Venice; 1928, sold by Loewi to the MFA for $2745 [see note 1]. (Accession Date: June 7, 1928)
