Made in a convent in Mexico City. Point, drawn-work. Small mat, made of two bands from legs of child’s drawers, sewn together. Each piece shows a wide band of cut and drawnwork, with darning and knotted stitches, between borders of plain linen, one of which is hemstitched. Lace shows wheels along central axis, connected by fine, grouped diagonal threads. Fine rick-rack along two sides. Made in convent in Mexico City, sent to Rebecca Virginia Moorhead in New York.
