Millefiori or the caning process was used to construct the canes used in fabricating the beads. The original cane is an image of a fish which was then cut apart and reassembled to build an abstract pattern, “kaleidoscoping” the image. Thin slices were then veneered onto a polymer base in the shape of either a diamond or circle. It is part of the Fish Cane series.
