DescriptionReddish violet corded silk brocaded with gold and silver thread. Design: sprays of roses (silver) in ogival framework of twisted gold ribbons. Ground closely brocaded with gold leaving outlines and accents only in reddish violet silk. Badly worn. Back of pillow case red satin with couched gold embroidery across one end, with loops and balls at other end. Pillow case probably made up in Near East.
