Obverse: Profile bust of Pius IX looking to proper right; inscribed at edge "PIVS·IX·PONT·MAX·AN·XIX·" and under bust "L.BIANCH.F".
Reverse: Arch of Vespasian at center; inscribed above "ANNO MDCCCLXIV", on arch (cannot read), below "L.BIANCHI F", and in exergue "C·V·VESPIGNANI·ARCH".
