Obverse: Profile bust of Pius IX looking to proper right; inscribed at edge “PIVS·IX·PONT·MAX·AN·XX·[rosette]” and under bust “[T]·BIANCHI·F”.

Reverse: A column before a church façade (campanile at proper left); inscribed below “V·VESPIGNANI ARCH L·BIANCH·F” and in exergue “TEMPLVM S LAVRENTII·M/RESTITVIT·EXORNAVIT/COLVMN·EREXIT/A·AMDCCCLXV”.

Inscription
