DescriptionThe oval half-length portrait depicts a woman with brown hair and brown eyes wearing a red dress, a white shawl, a pearl necklace and earrings, and a red and white hat adorned with a bird with yellow tail feathers. The contemporary gilt-bronze frame is decorated at the top and at each corner with an applied anthemion leaf and scrolling, and with a continuous band of the same motifs in low relief along the inner edge.
