DescriptionA plate painted in blue over a white ground: the flat rim with a version of the Chinese "rock and wave" border. The cavetto shows six similar floral sprigs, within which is a lobed line, delimiting the well's design of a large spray of "wheatsheaves" and small flowering plants, centered by a large blossom in Hatayi style.
ProvenanceLent by Miss Theodora Lyman, March 1, 1915. The John Pickering Lyman Collection. Made a gift on Sept. 18, 1919.
