DescriptionRectangular flat case. White silk taffeta embroidered with polychrome silk; painted details on silk and plaster. Designs: Flora with downturned cornucopia, flower basket, three putti in classical setting with vining floral motifs (obv.); Athena and Apollo seated, Eros above, floral swags and trees (rev.). Embroidery stitches include: stem stitch, satin stitch. No pockets, side panels or closure. Green/white silk and metallic thread woven binding; figured silver metallic galloon edging at hinge. Pale green silk satin lining. Cardboard foundation. Reverse panel has two layers of lining-covered cardboard inside, the top with a v-shaped notch.
