DescriptionThrough the design of scrolling acanthus (?) leaves, roses and cup-shaped flowers, runs an undulating band of open oblong spaces (à jours). The flowers and leaves of the design which form the outer edge of the lace have single loops of thread on the petals and points. The middle of the handkerchief is of fine white linen.
