Polanaise, of grass linen, open down entire center front length, fitted in “princesse” lines to waist with skirt much longer and more flaring in back, long bell shaped sleeves, all edges trimmed with band of pleating of self material edged on both sides with narrow Valenciennes lace, narrow linen tapes on inside of skirt for tying up polonaise; badly stained and yellowed. Polonaise ordered in Paris for Mrs. Henry Adams.
