Pomade pot with cover. Soft paste. Cylindrical pot decorated in Kakiemon chrysanthemum and branch motif with red border at base. Japanese landscape scene and butterfly on cover surrounded by red patterned border; round green knop finial. Mark: hunting horn in red.

NOTE: This may be the "Chantilly jar with cover" that she sold to Forsyth Wickes on this date, which had been acquired by her mother from "Vernon, Newport, 1929."
