Porringer with straight rim very slightly everted, curved sides, stepped and domed bottom, center point on bottom. Cast keyhole handle, neatly soldered at more of an angle than most examples.

Inscription

Engraved with Hickling crest on torse away from bowl.

Markings

Revere mark b in bowl and on back of handle.

Provenance

According to the donor, the piece descended in the Endicott-Pickman-Peabody families, none of whom used this crest; bequeathed to the Museum in 1939.
