DescriptionPrinted challis dress and matching cape; cream ground with vertical stripes of fuzzy conventionalized small-scale leaves (?), alternately green and purple, small sprays red-blue flowers between leafy stripes; tightly fitted short bodice with gathered band of material across bust, wide neckline, very full upper sleeves, skirt full all around with deep loose pleats in front and gathers at back; bodice lined with white cotton, bottom of skirt lined with white cotton, stuffed with cotton batting; short double cape with points of same material, bound with dark green taffeta and trimmed with bias bands of dark green taffeta; lined with tan glazed cotton (changeable); many moth holes and tears.
