DescriptionRectangular piece, not full loom width. Copperplate engraving, printed in red on tabby-woven cotton. Chinoiserie pattern. A man sits at the base of a rocky crag, lower right, fishing; another stands to the side, holding up a parasol. At left, a long-tailed bird on a fantastic flowering stalk. End of plate line shows at top. Cut at left; narrow selvedge at right shows single blue thread. Cotton browned; a few small holes and stains.
