The central deity, Raktayamari (the Red Conqueror of the Lord of Death), embracing his female partner, Prajna (Wisdom), stands in a militant posture on a corpse lying across a red bull. This pose with two embracing deities is called yab-yum (father-mother). The names of the subsidary deities and lamas are all inscribed.
