DescriptionOne fragment with rounded, curved surface. A ram's head is sculpted in deep relief at top of fragment with incised hieroglyphs at bottom, giving the name of king Aspelta.
ProvenanceFrom Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, surface N of great temple. 1916: Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
