DescriptionGround of dark green silk; the design in the upper half of the panel consists of a roundel enclosing two human heads, two peacocks which flank a heart-shaped plant, and two running dogs; outside the roundel is a peacock in each of the upper corner between the roundel and the border of the panel and an eagle is each of the lower borders. Above the roundel is a Greek inscription: ?e?eµa??a (Hail to Mary), woven twice in opposite directions; the lower half of the weaving is divided in two vertical segments, each enclosing a stylized plant motif; two birds and two animal heads (?).
