This is a vessel lid fashioned of a reddish clay fabric with a nicely red polished top (some wear). It is disc-shaped with a concave underside with an inner ring for fitting to the mouth of a vessel. It is intact.

Provenance

From Nuri, Pyramid 13 (tomb of Harsiyotef). Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
