This limestone block is dressed on three sides with a bottom, beveled corner. One side is smooth with incised hieroglyphs in red hieratic that denote the year, month, and day of the year. Possibly, there are mason’s marks.

Provenance

From Giza, mastaba G 1203. 1938: Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
