DescriptionThis object is composed of three joining fragments of blocks in raised relief. These blocks together form a procession of oxen. An ox followed by a man followed by two more ox all facing to the right. This piece may join the procession of cattle scene 13.4346, although a direct join has not been made. The decorated surfaces are very worn.
ProvenanceFrom Giza, tomb of Nekhebu G 2382 [(originally thought to be a tomb, but now known to be a jumbled deposit of limestone blocks from other nearby tombs)], court. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
