Rim fragment of cup. Straight slightly offset rim, straight upper body, convex below. Buff clay, pale red paint (not glazed inside). Rim banded, and another band where it starts to bulge; between, a row of unfinished spirals, really thick-rimmed circles, with double “stem” connectors; the spirals seem to lie both above and below the connectors, staggered alternately.

Provenance

From Richard Seager's Excavation at Mochlos, Crete.
