Sherd from a large ovoid storage jar: 30% of the rolled rim and shoulder only. This portion of the jar was manufactured on the wheel. The surface is unslipped. A pre-fired incised pot mark appears on the shoulder; it roughly resembles the mes hieroglyph. Note found in bag with object: “Sec. 8K2 AB7 97.1046 EL KAB.”

From Elkab. 1897, excavated by J. E. Quibell for the Egyptian Research Account , assigned to the Egyptian Research Account in the division of finds by the government of Egypt; given to the MFA by the ERA in response for contributions.
