DescriptionDark green jasper. Intaglio. Convex surface. Set in large modern(?) gold ring. A nude hunter on horseback, riding to left, holds reins in right hand and a short spear in his upraised left hand. A cloak is clasped around his neck and flies out behind him. He prepares to strike a deer, which has already been pierced by a spear. A dog pursues the deer and bites at its hind legs. Motif situated on a ground line.
