Sculpture fragment, one sculpted, polished surface fragment with parallel ridges, forms part of the edge of a nemes lappet. Good match for the Menkaura torso 11.3146 in E I, but does not directly join.

Provenance

From Giza. Street E of mastaba G 4620, sand debris just above solid rock. (See 14-2-2, 14-2-3, 14-2-4). 1914: Excavated by the Harvard University–Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.
