Passed from Grosvenor Thomas, London, to Roy Grosvenor Thomas (b.1885), New York; until 1927, remained with Thomas. Mrs. Charles Hofer (b.1859), Cincinnati, OH [see note 1]; to her son, Philip Hofer (b.1898–d.1984), Cambridge, MA; 1956, gift of Philip Hofer to the MFA.
