Sculpture

Terracotta bozetto of St. Jerome standing, partially draped, with bald head and flowing beard. He is portrayed as an ascetic, old man, and he holds a decayed scull in his left hand. The drapery falls over that arm, across the mid-section of his body, and falls in folds behind him. His left foot rests on the shoulder of a small, crouching lion. Right arm is broken off just below the shoulder. Very elongated figure.
