DescriptionThe ground is thin cream colored woolen cloth with two blue lines in selvedges on each side. The design is worked in cross-stitch in colored silk, house with animals and pond in upper part, below the following verse: "Have not Eve and Adam taught us. Their sad Profit to compute. To what dismal State they brought us. When they stole forbidden Fruit." Under this an apple tree, Adam and Eve and the serpent. At the bottom: "1834 Elizabeth Labdon, aged 10 years." The whole framed with floral border. Stitches: cross, double running, satin, and tent. A few holes, and stains.
