Across the top are rows of letters: then “Now while my needle does my hours engage And thus with care I mark my name and age, Let me reflect, though few have been my years, Crowded with sins thus narrow space appears.” Below this “Mary Robinson, aged 10 years, Exeter, May, 1814”
