Natural colored linen(?). Across the upper part are rows of alphabets and numbers. Below, “Caty Langdon is my name With my needle wrought the same If my skill had been better I would have mended every letter, 1797.” Across the bottom is a row of flowers growing from green mounds. Worked with pink, light blue, light and dark green, yellow, brown, violet, and white silk. Catherine Smith Langdon was born March 28, 1774 and died May 20th, 1857.
