This brooch takes the form of a Santa Claus, standing, carrying two Christmas stockings and a candle. Cast in dark gray metal, the front surface is studded with prong held rhinestones which on one arm, the beard, and both legs are individually held in rows to be flexible. Santa’s clothing is studded with red rhinestones decorated in white stones; his hat terminates in a pearl. The boots and eyes are black pastes; the stockings, blue, the candle red and white, and his nose, a pink stone.

A small circular tab adhered to the reverse of Santa's arm is marked "Butler & Wilson".
