Scarabs and scaraboids

Scarab seal likely carved of steatite with traces of greenish-yellow glaze still evident. Back type is fairly schematic, though v-notches suggest a dating of Dynasty 18, as does incised hieroglyphic text on back, which inclues the cartouche of Amenhotep III: Neb-Maat-Re (Nb-mAAt-Ra). Additional text includes the epithet “Appearing as Atum” (?) (sHa n Itm?). Pierced lengthwise for suspension. Surface slightly worn and edges somewhat chipped.
