Scarabs and scaraboids

Intaglio. Pierced (horizontal). Nude warrior stoops to the right to pick up a crested helmet, while holding a round shield in his right hand. He has a fringe of curls above his forehead and along the back of his neck. Highly detailed and precisely modeled musculature. Greek letter ‘alpha’ in the field, at right. Hatched border.
