The spoon has a fig-shaped bowl and a tapered hexagonal stem. The baluster support is surmounted by a circular seal.

Construction:
The bowl and stem of the spoon are forged from a single piece. The baluster support and seal are cast separately and applied. Traces of gilding remain on the finial.

Markings

In bowl, leopard's head crowned; on back of stem near bowl, maker's mark D enclosing C (Kent, 1981, p. 26); lion passant; date letter A
