DescriptionPainting without decorative borders, possibly originally in thangka format.

Sakyamuni seated cross-legged on lotus throne making dharmachakra and dhyana mudras. Surrounded by scenes from his life or jataka stories, set in verdant landscape. Figures very Chinese style. Part of set with 26.243 and 26.244. Possibly also 29.659 and 50.3776.
InscriptionsSmall gold inscriptions identifying scenes and color notations under paint in Chinese.
