DescriptionPainting without decorative borders, possibly originally in thangka format.

Sakyamuni sits on lotus throne in bhumisparsa and dhyana mudra. He is surrounded by scenes, from his life or from jataka stories, set in verdant landscape. Very Chinese in style. Condition: so-so, some losses. Obverse: small gold inscriptions identifying scenes. Part of set with 26.242 and 26.243. Possibly also 29.659 and 50.3776.
