Square shawl of wool twill tapestry with design of central black floral medallion; surrounding design, in polychrome with a predominance of purple, of very large scale scrolling boteh motif, palmette and ogive-framed plant; outer border embroidered of small niches, each on a different background-color, each enclosing a blossom; shawl woven in sections and stitched together.
