2/2 Z twill patterned with supplementary continuous patterning wefts tied in 3/1 Z twill, clipped in back. Silk and wool plyed warps in border and wool warps in the feild.

Rectangular wool shawl; large field shows circular medallion in center with white ground decorated with central rosette and large blossoms; quadrants of this medallion decorate the four corners of the field. Rest of field covered entirely with single blossoms and floral sprays in compartments of many shapes. Narrow border on four sides shows flowering, undulating vine between narrower bands of geometric ornament. Warps are black except for two side borders where they are white; warps twisted to form fringe on each end. Condition very good. Two one-inch slits near center. No piecing. Warped fringe. No fringe on the sides. 10 Colors: black, white, dark blue, light blue, dark green, light green, yellow, red, dark pink, light pink.
