Dispersion print. Warp: black silk in a 1/3 twill. Weft: black silk and gold lamé. Oversize flowers and various fruits including pineapple, apple, blackberries, strawberry, melon in green, pink, orange, red, rose, purple, and fleshy leaves in black and blue printed impression ad hoc. In this technique the cloth is originally woven in only black and gold, and then the areas that will be colored are printed with acid, and then re-printed with the colors. The style and colors are influenced by the Ballets Russes. Condition: excellent.
