Square shawl of wool twill tapestry with design of main field of red with appliqués of white, black, blue, yellow, and green wool twill, densely embroidered with highly stylized boteh motifs in multi-colored wool yarns; central blue star-shaped medallion embroidered around the edges; in the four corners are stylized flower designs; border is made of pieced, fringed blocks in white, red, black, yellow, and green, embroidered with polychrome wool yarns.
