White silk warp; weft, apparently of cotton, wool, and silk. Main field yellow-green with an all-over design of “palm leaves” separated by waving, branching lines; colors blue, red, green, brown, and white; a border of the same style but with much bright red surrounds the center. Shawls similar in style and texture are marked in the Victoria and Albert Museum “Norwich. Late 18th century.” (Perhaps parts are 18th century?) Ragged.
