Circular medal of Martin Luther and his wife Catherina von Bora Luther, commemorating their marriage. Beaded rim on both faces.

Obverse: Three-quarters length bust of Luther looking to proper left; inscribed at edge “MARTINVS LVTHERVS THEOLOGIAE DOCTOR”, at inner band “IVBILEVM SECVNDVM”, and on bust “N 1483 OBT/1546” and “C.W”.

Reverse: Three-quarters length bust of Catherina looking to proper right, inscribed at edge “CATHARINA VON BORA.D.LVTHERS.FRAV GEMAHLIN”, at inner band “SVCCESSIB FOECVNDVM”, and on bust “NVP 1525”.
