DescriptionThe flat stiles of this side char have rounded backs, and the bowed crest rail is centrally carved with a cockle shell. The pierced and interlaced splat has a central diamond, and rests on a molded shoe. There is a molded upper edge to the seat rails, and the side rails are mortised through the rear legs. The cabriole front legs are carved with shells on the knees and have claw-and-ball feet of tall squarish character. The rear legs cant outward and are chamfered on four sides.
