ProvenanceMay 1945, said to have been found about 12 miles southeast of Medinet Gurob, Egypt, by Robert Gordon Faudree [see note 1]; 1959, sold by Faudree to Horace L. Mayer (b. 1899 - d. 1968), Williamstown, MA [see note 2]; to his widow, Florence Ellen Mayer, Williamstown; 1971, gift of Mrs. Mayer to the MFA. (Accession Date: January 10, 1972)
