White silk taffeta ground, painted and embroidered in satin and knotted stitches with polychrome silks. Left of center, a man stands beside his wife and child under a tree on lawn of a white house; center, a brown dog; foreground, ducks in a pond; right, boy in blue suit by a bushy tree. In the distance men harvesting wheat; beyond, two small ships on body of water (?) Black and gold matte painted on glass bears inscription: “Happiness/Wrought by Elizabeth M,S, Watson, AE.11.” Silks and paints faded; glass cracked lower left corner. Orig. fram.
